F&P Launches New Training Center
September 8, 2011
On May 1st of this year, Fowler & Peth will launch its newly designed Safety Training facility. Prior to this facility, F&P had built its Safety Training success on utilization of both an online platform and curriculum, coupled with hands on training offered at each of its branches. Use of this system has garnered a major shift in the culture of safety reducing recordable incidents and accidents by over 60% over 5 years.
In an effort to build on this success F&P will now implement a centralized training program at its Denver branch. The new centralization approach will ensure that each and every employee receives the same consistent training prior to reporting to their work assignments.
The new Safety Training center will utilize the current training program in its online form, but will augment the information in a didactic form designed to standardize the message, and importance of safety as a way of doing business.
In an effort to increase Safety Awareness in the Roofing and Building Supply industry, The classes held at the new Safety Training facility will be open to F&P customers at no charge. Customers who wish to attend a specific class (Fall Protection, Forkilft Operations etc.) will have the ability to attend the classes if space is available and receive a Certificate of Attendance. In many cases this will assist the smaller contractors OSHA compliance and more importantly increase Safety Awareness in the workplace for ALL members of the community.
